Gabrielle Bocca
Gabriele Bocca is a cyber security consultant working with penetration testing and IT security assessments.
Formerly a researcher in mathematics, Gabriele developed his interest in IT-security during his degree in Mathematics, when he studied cryptographic protocols and error correcting codes.
He later cultivated his interest by practicing penetration testing of different systems and environments, with particular focus in IoT and embedded devices security.

How to Hack a Factory - A Real-Life Story
In this talk we will show how attacks against industrial and operational technology systems are conducted, and what the effects can be.
Taking inspiration from real investigations, we will illustrate how attackers can gain access to a company's internal network by exploiting vulnerable and un-patched hardware.
From there, we will show how it is possible to compromise services used to interface with Industrial Control Systems, potentially disrupting and damaging infrastructure of critical importance.
